I'll start by saying that these are nice boots: stylish yet comfortable, and really on trend for fall. The footbed is quite cushy, the leather is very soft, and they fit true to size to perhaps a smidge big (but not a whole half size big). The heel height is perfect, and the boots look great with skinnies or leggings tucked in. For these reasons, I'm going to keep mine. However, I do believe that this particular style of boot has some serious quality control issues.

I first tried on the bordo color in a brick & mortar store. The pair I tried on in-store had a very reddish tone to it: it was almost wine-colored. Alas, they were out of my size, so I ordered it. The pair I was sent-- also bordo-- was NOTHING like the pair I'd tried on in-store. There was barely any red to it at all, beyond a vague undertone: I asked several people what color they would call it, and they all said, "Brown". I was not sent the wrong color or anything like that; the box said bordo, and based on the other colors the shoe comes in, it couldn't have been anything else. I returned it, unhappy with the shade. Next, I ordered a pair online here on Amazon, in oxford brown, which I also saw in the store and tried on for size (to make sure the bordo I ordered would fit). The pair of oxford brown I've now received also has suspect quality control going on, unfortunately. The leather is a lot more weathered than the pair I tried on in the store, which I can deal with. But more egregious, there is a patch on one of the boots where it literally looks like someone substituted a completely different type of leather! It's not a 'design' feature, as it's only on one boot, and it's blatant: different texture and several shades darker, and if you feel it, it's on a different "plane" than the rest of the leather (almost sunken in). It's not in an extremely noticeable place, so I'm keeping the pair. But I'm left feeling like Naya's quality control and consistency is not very good. The bordo pair I received was a noticeably different color than the bordo I saw in-store. The oxford brown is more weathered and has the mismatched patch of leather. That's basically two for two with somewhat significant flaws. If I get one defective pair of something, I'm fairly forgiving and say "It's just bad luck". But two in a row makes me think well, that it's more than just bad luck.

Don't get me wrong, I like these boots. As I said, they are stylish, comfortable, and on trend. But I would hesitate in the future to order more Naya shoes simply based on the fact that the quality control, and consistency, seems all over the place. At the very least, I think I'd only buy a pair I tried on in-store, so I could inspect it first for flaws.
