As a former gymnast, I now how larger calves than most! The origninal Hunter boots fit, but there is no way to wear pants or even leggings with them. When I saw that they made this style I knew I had to have them! I am short, 5'2, and these boots hit me right below the knee. The origninal ones are actually a little too tall for me, but I still like them. These are perfect. I wear a size 6 shoe and these fit great, I could probably even go down another size but would be afraid I wouldn't be able to wear thick socks like I like to.
