Teva women's Zermatt Boot,Brown,6.5 M US Review

I think I bought this more out of curiosity. Teva a boot really? This is a well made Thermo boot. Its not quite winter here yet so not sure how well they will do in snow, but will tell you I put them on and went for a little hike and the tread handled the terrain well and they were really warm, to warm for fall so should be great for winter. I didn't give them a 5 because they have a seam that rides across the bunion of my foot. At first it was uncomfortable but after some use it seemed to loosen up a bit. Overall a cool shoe from Teva.

Wolverine Men's W03226 Waterproof Boot,Stone,10 XW US Review

This is the second pair of Wolverine 'DuraShock" boots that I've owned. Straight out of the box they fit like a glove. I wore them to work and was standing and walking around for 10 hours the first day and my feet and legs felt great. On hard surfaces like concrete the boots feel a little 'bouncy' like you're walking on a partially inflated balloon but if you're outdoors it isn't noticeable.
These are by far the most comfortable work boots that I have ever worn. They are high quality, wear very well and are ruggedly built.
They are a little more expensive to purchase than other brands but the comfort level is well worth the extra cost. If at the end of a work day you end up with sore feet and aching legs from wearing a cheaper pair of boots, have you saved anything?
I found the best price on Amazon and as usual the ordering and shipping was fast and easy.

If your doing a mud run/obstacle course, you'll often hear people tell you to just use an old pair of running shoes. I guess that's ok, but I decided to try this Salomon shoe and I am so glad I did. When others were having serious trouble running up a muddy hill I ran up without any real problem.

The only difficulty was the lace release when they were all full of mud at the end of the event - that was somewhat problematic for me - but perhaps it was because I was inexperienced with the release. The shoes cleaned up with no problem and there is no "smell" that everyone warned about with their recommendations to use an old pair of running shoes. I can't wait for my next "mudder"!

I've worn these shoes to work everyday for the last year. They are very comfortable, light, and breathe well. However, the durability isn't there. The sole on my right shoe split completely across the bottom and the slightest bit of water I step in comes up through the sole leaving me with wet feet for the rest of the day. I first found this boot at one of the small shoe stores in The Villages. My 74-yr old aunt bought a pair and I tried it on. Leather is soft, fit is comfortable, the heel height is just right and the heel itself was nicely done - not blah-looking but not gaudy either. It seems that a great deal of thought and work was put into this style. I wanted one for me too but the store didn't have it in my size so I searched online and found a pair.
Don't regret it. Can't wait to wear it over and over. Looks great with either dress or jeans. I liked it so much I bought a sandal of the same brand.

ECCO Men's Diego Derby Tie Fashion Sneaker,Black,42 EU/8-8.5 M US Review

This is without any doubt a very attractive shoe--a perfect design for the dress/casual look that so many of us are seeking at work these days. The leather looks rich. (I have the mink/brown version.) If you are mainly concerned with appearance, grab these shoes! The quality control is, however, slightly below average on these. (I have to confess that my standard of comparison is the upper range of the Ecco Biom series.) The shoestrings on my pair have irregular--even peeling--plastic ends, and each of the shoes has minor but visible scratches on the instep side. Nothing major though--overall a very fine shoe.

I had hopes that these shoes would have some use as walkers as well--I need very versatile shoes for travel that includes both lecturing and excursions--but these are not very comfortable for walking. Fine for indoors, but they seem a little stiff and uncomfortable for long walks. I think my Seattle Plain Toe GTX dress shoes might be better for walking city streets; their leather is certainly more supple. Again, I admit that I have been spoiled by my Biom running and walking shoes. Those shoes are very light, but they offer perfect support and appropriate cushioning. I also prefer a walking shoe with a natural motion and footfall, but the soles on the Diego Derby are very stiff and the shoe lands and moves in what has become for me an unnatural way. I'm wearing them around the house, but I'm leaning toward returning them. I love the way they look, and they might soften up with regular wear, but I can't take the risk at this cost.

If you want a dress/casual shoe purely for work, mostly indoors, without much setting out for walks, these should do very well. If that were my intended use, and if I hadn't been wearing my Bioms all summer, I would definitely keep them.
