This bag is very well designed and intended to last. And besides that I really like it.

I find it difficult to estimate the exact size of handbags on line so here is what this one holds easily: Checkbook, wallet, sunglasses, 2 smallish cell phones, several pens and a pair of glasses without the case (there is a convenient pocket inside that works for glasses without a case. The hard case for my glasses, which I like because it keeps my glasses from getting smashed is a crowd. The bag is pretty full now and is definitely crowded when the Kindle goes in.
