This "bootie" arrived at my doorstep in pristine condition and I felt like royalty opening up the box and removing the layers of protective paper and Styrofoam inside to get to the shoes. Upon first sliding my foot inside, it felt my foot was being hugged. There is a side zipper along the inside ankle and the padding inside has sort of "bubbles" or "pillows" that you can feel under your feet.

I walked around the house for a day or two to keep them clean and ensure they were a perfect fit. I did purchase a size 8 W at first and after walking around the house, my socks were sliding down under my feet. To help you understand sizing: My normal shoe size is 8 medium but some shoes are either way too tight all-over or they fit my foot well but my heel slides around. And when I try 7.5 mediums, they tend to be too tight or too small!! My cowboy boot size is 8 Medium and they tend to fit snug, snug, oh my gosh snug. The point is...sizing has been an issue with me and my feet. I was told I should try Wide shoes, however, my local stores do not carry them; thus, these are the first Wide shoes I have ever tried.

As the 8 Wides did not fit my heel, I figured I needed to try a 7.5 for the length, but still need a Wide to wrap around my foot. I would like to say "Thank You" to the seller and Amazon.com for making returns/Exchanges hassle free! I got on-line, filled out the form and within a week, my size 7.5 W were at my doorstep!!! Hugz and Thanks!! I was apprehensive about buying shoes/boots on-line and Amazon.com has removed my concerns.

Okay back to the current shoe:

So now with the size 7.5 W snug on my feet, I walked around my house and was amazed how they felt. My socks did not move. My heels did not slide around. My foot felt comfortable and snug and it was good!

My first trip out into the big wide world, my new "booties" strapped to my feet, I must say, it was rather "odd". My feet felt great walking around in them for an hour or so; however, when I sat down, they seemed to "hug" my feet and it felt strange. I was uncertain if I liked it or not. I am not accustomed to feeling something snug wrapped around my foot after walking around and I really did not expect to feel that "hug". But when I stood up again, the feeling went away and my feet felt great! After a day at the shopping center, of standing in place, walking around, and sitting intermittently, I came home and was amazed that the bottom of my feet did not hurt or ache in the arch or the heel. My feet actually....well, they felt great! As if I did not just walk around several hours! And that...my friends, is something to write home about!!

As with all things, time will be the true test of their integrity; but I am here to say, i am pleased thus far. They look as they do in the image. They dust off easily with a slightly damp cloth and shine up nicely.
