I have very flat feet, and I tried New Balance and Salomon hiking shoes before this. The arches in those shoes were way to high and so my feet would get very sore. Not with these, they were comfortable right out of the box. They felt a little bit big, but with some thick socks they turned out to be a perfect size. I've worn them 3 times so far to go hiking and have had no pain or blisters (I wear them with the thorlo socks.) One of the times I wore them it was extremely wet and muddy and then I ended up washing my shoes off in the river while still wearing them and my feet remained completely dry. Definitely a good buy!
