I've had my Gideon boots for just over 2 months. The break in period was very quick and the "cracks" in the leather add a lot of character. The boots are very comfortable and durable.

At first, I was concerned that the Dr. Martens leather balm would remove the weathered cracks in the leather. Fear not! The balm nourishes the leather and the cracks reappear after taking a few steps.

Like the other reviewer, the tongue in my left boot slides to the side. Maybe I walk funny?
