Product Description
Can you say THREE-peat? Like the Ghost 3 and 4, the Ghost 5 was deemed "Editor's Choice" in Runner's World's Fall 2012 Shoe Guide in the September issue. Runner's World described the Ghost 5 as "a versatile shoe that can handle whatever workouts you throw at it" and noting that the Ghost "remains fairly lightweight with a soft heel and relatively firm forefoot, which gives wearers a fast feel." One wear tester said "I didn't have that 'squishy' feeling I sometimes experience with cushioned shoes." Another said, "The Ghost 5 has excellent cushioningcement feels like blacktop, blacktop feels like grass, grass feels like clouds! I was able to feel the ground just fine for a strong ride." We say the Ghost 5 is so supremely smooth and impeccably balanced, it's scary. We took the best of the award-winning Ghost 3 and 4 designs, built in new innovations, and then merged it all with striking colors and patterns. This shoe hits the sweet spot for a wide range of Neutral runners with a finely crafted Caterpillar Crash Pad and anatomical Brooks DNA. > See the Men's Ghost 5 Love the Ghost but hate running in the rain? Let me say that I have a neutral gait and need cushioned shoes, and that I am a novice runner, only running 9 miles a week, at most. (Less in the summer when it's too hot and less when there is snow on the ground.) I tried these shoes on after the ASICS Gel-Nimbus was changed and no longer has much support or cushion to them. I have upgraded to the Gel-Kayano for work because I'm on my feet the whole day in a hospital lab and they offer a lot of cushion. While those are fine for work, I wanted something for running that would help me as a beginner runner to relieve some of the pain in my legs and feet while I run. These shoes have such a great solid base to them while being extremely lightweight. I run outside on a paved trail, and these shoes, in addition to Injinji toe socks, make me forget all about my feet while I'm running so I can focus on breathing and keeping a good running posture. I highly recommend them to any woman needing a neutral/cushioned running shoe. Most of the consumer Reviews tell that the "Ghost 5, Color: PrsnPnk/Anthrcte/Wht/Slvr/Blck, Size: 6.0" are high quality item.
