I got two pairs of these new on ebay for an excellent price so look around before you settle on paying full retail for these. I did a little research and read many reviews. About half of the 100 or so reviews I read, said the Frye Calvary runs a half size too big. The other half of the reviews stated they ran true to size. Well... I ended up getting one pair true to size, and the other pair a half size smaller than usual. I normally wear a 7.5, so I ended up with a pair in size 7.5 and a pair in 7. The 7's fit very tight on my wide feet, but as many reviewers stated, once they break in they will fit perfectly. I was very skeptical because they felt so snug, but 3 days later of breaking them in slowly while walking around my house, I am starting to agree. I do not doubt that in a month or so they will be completely molded to my feet. The 7.5 (my true size), feel perfect right out of the box, not too big or small. I decided I am going to keep both. If the 7.5 starts to stretch out that's fine cause I like to wear thick socks during the colder months anyways. So the 7's will be my summer boot for thinner socks, and the 7.5 my winter boots for thicker socks. I got the Sand and Cognac and love both colors. The height is good. The shaft could be a little bit shorter in my opinion but oh well... I am petite so the taller the boot, the shorter my legs look. Overall, I am super happy with my new boots and finally I can stop searching for the perfect boot cause I have them in my closet!
