I got these primarily for working around my yard in cool to cold weather. I read the other reviews and was worried about the fit. I wear a size 9. I was going to get a size 10, but my wife said that would be too big. Since I am a Prime member, I decided to order size 9 and if they were too small I would just return them. When they came I tried them on. Very tight to get into, but once they were on they felt just fine. Not too small. I left them on for about six hours and the boots loosened up a bit. I use thin socks when wearing these. The boots are insulated for weather below zero, so thick socks should not be needed. These boots hug my ankles and are great to walk around in. The heals don't flop or drag on the ground like other boots of this type I have had. I am sure that if I had gotten a bigger size, that would have happened. I really like these boots and I hope they will last a long time.
