Just received this....I usually wear a 9 1/2 - size 10; I also have a narrow foot. I ordered a 10. With good quality cotton sport socks on, it was too big; with thick wool socks on, it was too tight...especially around my heels and as a previous customer stated it was a tight fit getting it on over the top of the foot (when I had on the wool socks). The felt top you see sticking out is thin (poor quality) and glued to inside of boot. I could give it a good tug to remove it if I wanted to and the lining does not seem to continue on down to the toe. It is NOT an insulated boot for winter use...perhaps on warmer days (30 F and up) it would be okay but I wouldn't think anything cooler would work well. It IS a very nice looking boot and comfortable over all other than size issues. ALSO...the laces are thin, cotton laces which were difficult to pull tightly over the top arch area...didn't flow through the eyeholes/hooks well even for lack of pulling..yet for fear of breaking laces. Honestly...felt like the history of Clark producing a high quality shoe was lacking in certain ways in this boot. Sadly...they are being returned.
