Love these bootie! I can't wear the real high heels anymore, so was very happy to see these, the heel is 2 7/8 inches, so it's really pretty comfortable. I increased my comfort by purchasing a stick-in gel insole. Actually thought I wanted black, but this grey really goes with a lot of colors, so it is very versatile. Beautiful all-leather construction, so cute, well-made, and comfortable all add up for me to a 5-star great shoe!

These boots are not "Built in the USA" as the description says. They are not listed as such according to the Kamik website, so I don't know how they can get away with saying that they are or even some of them are. I took a chance that maybe some of these boots may have been made here but "made in China" is stamped on the boot. These boots are cute and I don't know how warm they would be, but there is no support in the sole. It is just a flimsy rubber shell bottom, very thin leather (?) upper, with a removable liner. I doubt they would be very comfortable if you did much walking in them. Returning them.

Never had Brooks before and will definitely buy again. According to reviews I did get an 8 1/2 instead of the 8 I usually wear. They fit perfectly and were extremely comfortable from the start. I use them for walking. I had goggled n best shoes for walking and this is one of ones that came up. Very glad indeed. Don't usually spend this much but r worth it.

I had a pair of these for over 10 years, finally buying an identical replacement pair 6 months ago. I can already tell they'll get just as great mileage. What's not to love? I can comfortably stand in them for hours at a time, they match practically anything, and they're durable. The only possible drawbacks I can think of is that the muted oiled leather finish can't take scuffs as well as the shinier option, and you can't wear it year-round like you can with the high-back one, The Kelsey Clog. For the full story, see my review for the regular-shaft version of these boots. They are fantastic boots, but be careful with your calf sizing. If you wear a shoe size larger than size 8, the calf circumpherence goes up approx. 2/3" every size above an 8. I ordered an 11 and the calf was 19" around on the boot (my calves were 17" around) and they looked rediculous. I rated these with 5 stars because they are a wonderful boot, very comfy, and it's fantastic that they come in a wide-calf for those that really need a wide calf, but I had to return them and buy the regular-calf boots instead.
