I bought these to compare to Sofft's Noreen boot. The Sofft is a dressier boot and it matches my fall jacket. But I CANNOT send the Born's back. They are just TOO comfortable! Furthermore, they go with just about every color. In anthracite, they are a grayish-brownish-neutral. They are more "rugged" than the Sofft, but are more comfortable out of the box since my foot is a little on the wide side. The boot has good support and I will get a lot of wear out of them since they already have that "distressed" look to them. Rain, snow...it won't matter to me. If they get scuffed up it'll just enhance their "look". Jeans fit nicely inside the boot as well. I think that they are true to size. I wear a 7.5 M or W in most shoes. I think Born is just an excellent shoe company for me!
