I'm a woman and I wear a ladies' 10. Based on another review, I ordered an 8.5 in this saddle shoe. It was a touch too small. The size 9 was only available from a different seller for $50 more so I tried a men's size 10. Interestingly it worked size-wise to wear with winter socks, and so I thought this would work for me. But the "collar" of the shoe bit into the back of my ankle. When Ioosened the laces to ease up on that, then the front of the collar rubbed on my foot (and this was through thick socks!).

Perhaps a size 9 would have worked for me but that's questionable, and getting it in that size would have pushed the price beyond what I was willing to spend.

So while unfortunately the fit did not work for me, I really like the idea of saddle shoes for a minimalist shoe, and of the black/brown way its done here.

I wished the toe part was more rounded looking (rather than slanting along the foot line). I think the shoe would have looked more like a regular shoe if they'd just left some space inside the shoe and made the outside look balanced. But that's a quibble. It would not have stopped me from buying it and it does not affect my rating.

What I'm ending up buying is Tune loafers. I was already getting one pair of Tunes to wear to work but now I'm getting a second pair to wear for casual because I can't find a good-enough looking nice-casual shoe in a minimalist build. They're not on amazon yet, you'll have to google to find them. More comfortable for my foot, a tad more conventionally shaped, and still roomy enough to wear my CorrectToes inside.
