I live and work in the core of a major US city and do an awful lot of walking. I have a 15.5" calf and have always had a difficult time finding boots that look good and are comfortable. I'm so happy I found the Blondo Valente boots, they're great! I love the riding boot look, and the extra embellishment of strap and buckle is really nice. The elastic sections in the back allow give in the shaft so that they fit my legs fine. The boots have a thin lining which makes them nice and warm in cold weather but not too warm to wear indoors. The soles are rubber and provide lots of cushioning and great traction. The only deficit is lack of arch support, but the interior is roomy enough for an inserted insole, and maybe it's better that way anyway because then you can replace the insoles easily. I am so happy with these boots that I bought another three pairs as backup! Highly recommended.
