I must say that I was hesitant to purchase a pair of shoes online without having tried them on first, but I had heard so many good things about DANSKO, I decided to take a chance.

WOW! These have proven to be the most comfortable shoes I have ever worn. I have a heel spur and extremely flat feet. Of the many styles of DANSKO, I chose these because they were in between a flat shoe and a clog and could pass for dress or casual. I have two different size wide feet at about 8.5/9US, and I purchased the size 39 in black.

These shoes have a cushion inside the sole that gives a little when you walk, providing support for my tender feet. There is plenty of room inside the shoe for my feet so there is no rubbing against the walls of the shoe, and no blisters, even when my feet swell.

The shoe is obviously a little loose on the smaller foot, which is why I love the decorative velco strap on the top that helps to keep the shoe secure on my foot. Also, unlike a clog where you have to squeeze your foot into the shoe, the pull-away strap allows me to just drop my foot into the shoe with no struggle and re-close.

These shoes are expensive, but you will not be disappointed. The leather and sole is high-quality, and the finish appears to be scuff-resistant. Then again, they may have improved my walk so much, that I am less likely to trip or bump into things that cause scuffing.

I highly recommend these shoes to anyone looking for comfort and high-quality. If purchasing for two different size feet, like I did, go with the larger foot size. The strap on top will hold the shoe secure on the smaller foot.

This is my first pair of DANSKO, and it will not be my last.
