Even though they are a little short, the convertible strap (under the snap that can convert to a heel strap) is too long and cannot be used to keep the shoe on as I have about a 3/4 inch between my heel and the strap, so it just flops down. I've had clogs with this type of convertible heel strap before and it's a GREAT idea, but it has to fit right.
I kept the shoes and love wearing them, even without the heel strap, as clogs. I've gotten a lot of compliments on them, but mostly from people who wouldn't be brave enough to wear a shoe this "different." I love them, wear them all the time, except when I HAVE to have work-like shoes. These just don't go well with a suit or slacks for work! I wear them for everything else though. I can wear with with or without socks, a little loose without socks and a little tighter with them, but that means they are all-season shoes too! They run a little short and a little wide, don't have any arch support, and appear to be very durable as well. I will get more Spring Steps in the future.
