I am an old fan of Docs. I used to wear them loyally until it seems like the quality of the leather went downhill and they started scratching rather easily. I saw these and was intrigued since they are sort of a cross of Doc's notoriously comfortable soul and a classy black leather lace shoe. Well needless to say from my rating I am very pleased! These are my new favorite shoes in my collection. I kind of wish they had steel toe's but I knew they didn't from the description so I am not going to knock them for it, especially since I really like the look and comfort of these shoes! :)

Tip: If you have never owned Doc's then go a store that sells them and try on a couple pairs to figure out your size in UK which is about half size bigger than i typically am in US. I got the same size I always do in Docs and they fit perfectly!
