I bought these for sailing in spring and fall when the weather is too chilly for regular boat shoes to be comfortable. I usually wear size 8 to 8.5 depending on the shoe so I ordered a 9. It fits, but is snug. There is quite a lot of padding in the boot, so if you are concerned, go up to the next size. I am wondering if the padding will compact with wear, that would be a wait and see item.

Love the various colors available and may buy a second pair in a different color (I bought the brown boots). I tried wearing these as a test one day without socks. I find my feet sweat too much for that to be comfortable, I must wear them with a thin pair of socks and that works well for me.

I haven't tried them in winter weather only a couple of coldish rainy days, so I don't know about the temperature claims. I think they'll be fine for sloppy winter streets and sidewalks in northern cities like Boston, NY, and Chicago. I will have to compare these to my Steger Mukluks, the gold standard for warm boots, since my feet tend to always be cold.

Conclusion, waterproof, cute, very well padded. Cold weather claim will have to wait for winter. Will not sail with them until spring so that is pending too.
