AETREX LYNCO RED/BLUE WOMENS ORTHOTICS Size 12 M Review

After suffering with the slow healing plantar fasciitis for 9 months, these lynco orthotics eliminated the pain for me instantly.

The custom made ($500+) orthotics from a podiatrist made things a little better, but my feet were still in pain at the end of a day of walking in the city. (I walk about 3 to 6 miles daily in New York.)

I decided to try these after a quick sizing up at a local shoe store, put them in shoes (tip: I put them on top of the existing insert on a shoe 1/2 size larger than my usual size) .. the pain went away.

In talking to the very knowledgeable foot consultant at the walking company he summed it up for me: Custom orthotics are hard/stiff and made to manage plantar fasciitis when standing, these Lynco inserts are made for walking.

Note that the walking company has an upgraded version with even more cushioning with a model number L1200 which I prefer even more.

Please try these before going the expensive route with a podiatrist.

P.S. (Does anyone want to buy about $2500 worth of custom orthotics for 10 cents on the dollar?)

I was sent these as a gift, and I'm very happy with them. I usually expect a certain amount of break-in time for Docs, but these are comfortable right out of the box. The pattern is great, fairly subtle in the case of the black/black option, and the leather is flexible and soft. I love them!

Oh, yes, as this usually comes up, sizing:
I usually wear a US women's 8.5 or 9--and one might think that would translate to ordering these in a UK 7, but I always size down to a UK 6. You might want to as well.

(Granted, the place mine came from offered free return shipping/exchange, so it didn't *really* matter getting the size right the first time, but it's always a bit disappointing to receive shoes that don't fit, so sizing down initially might save you some time and effort.)

The stretch fabric matches the leather nicely, so they don't look strange as some boots with goring do. I ordered the bourbon leather and it's a very rich color. So nice to have boots in my wardrobe.
